Abstract :
A strategy for optimizing a two-step process is outlined and exemplified by a process consisting of a synthesis and a purification step. The methods used are experimental design, principal components analysis, multivariate design and PLS regression. rategy outlined can be used as a general strategy for optimizing a multistep process. It remains to verify how the outlined strategy fits to real data in this case.
