Unconventional experimental designs theory and application

Experimental designs are generally presented as tables. Factor levels are indicated and the experimenter follows the instructions given by the chosen table. The experimental designs corresponding to these tables are optimal or near-optimal designs. Real experiments, however, are not always so perfect and they can be different from textbook designs. This Tutorial describes a general method of calculatig effects and interactions and interpretating the results of real but imperfect designs. Thus all kinds of experiments can be treated using experimental design methodology. All the experiments are submitted to the same theory, the experimental design theory.
