Abstract :
A series of bimetallic Pd/Ag/γ-Al2O3 modified by various contents (15, 25, 35, 50, and 65 wt.%) of Ce0.25Zr0.75O2 were prepared and used as catalysts for the oxidation reaction of CH3OH. The reaction results indicate that addition of Ce0.25Zr0.75O2 could decrease the light-off temperature of methanol conversion. Samples with 35, 50 and 65 wt.% of Ce0.25Zr0.75O2 show markedly enhanced activity attaining the light-off temperature near 85 °C, which may resolve the complete oxidation reaction of methanol at low temperature.
