Some observations on the post-buckling behaviour of thin plates and thin-walled members

A brief examination of some of the research on the post-buckling analysis of plates and plate structures is outlined. Only a very superficial examination has been carried out. The behaviour of plates and sections under eccentric load or eccentric compression is considered, and the application of plate analysis to strut, beam and column design is discussed.
