Wind loading of parallel free-standing walls on bridges, cliffs, embankments and ridges

This paper describes a study of boundary-layer wind loads on parallel walls, used as noise barriers on freeways and motorways. Approximately 20 representative situations were studied in a wind-tunnel model study. The paper gives details of the experimental techniques used, comparison with previous wind-tunnel tests (flat ground only) and the main results of the study.
