Abstract
The Fe30Al4Cr iron aluminide modified by TiB2 was strained in tension at temperatures between 600 and 900 °C. The influence of temperature on deformation characteristics and on microstructure evolution was studied. The enhanced ductility and strain rate sensitivity called coarse grained superplasticity was explained on the basis of class 1 solid solution behaviour.
