Abstract :
A calculable parameter δ, defined as the absolute multiplication of the chemical mixing enthalpy and mismatch entropy, has been proposed to evaluate the liquid dynamic fragility of glass-forming alloys. The alloy with a larger δ exhibits a stronger liquid characteristic in an alloy system with the same base element. The proposal of the parameter δ gives a much easier and more available method in evaluating liquid fragility without any experiments.
