Abstract :
Nanoparticles of FePd alloys in the size range of 5–8 nm have been processed in gram quantities using the polyol process and were further consolidated into bulk magnets by spark plasma sintering (SPS). The as-prepared FePd nanoparticles showed disordered fcc structure; while their SPSed counterparts displayed typical L10-ordered fct structure with interesting magnetic properties.
