Abstract
This study aims at identify the relationship of childrenʹs physical activity level with socio-economic status (SES) of family. To do this, a sample of 340 students among 5 high schools from the secondary male students of Borujen city, using cluster method and was randomly selected. To collect the data, standard scales for measuring SES of family, and the scale of physical activity level, developed by Sharkey, were used. Findings were in significant level of 0.01. According to Spearman test and other indexes, there was no significant relationship between childrenʹs physical activity level and SES of family (except for educational level of father). These findings show that fatherʹs education level has beneficial effects on tendency of children to physical activity (i.e. they pattern their homogeneous parent).
