Flow of a viscous fluid over an impermeable shrinking sheet

This paper presents an exact analytical solution for the boundary layer flow of a viscous fluid over an impermeable sheet of variable thickness. The flow is induced due to a power-law shrinking of the form ( x + b ) − 1 / 3 . Some interesting features are witnessed that are in contrast to those for shrinking of a flat sheet.
