An infinite family of nearly neighborly centrally symmetric 3-spheres

The upper bound problem for a class of objects (.e.g, convex polytopes or simplicial spheres) asks: if the dimension and number of vertices of a member S of the class is fixed, what is the largest possible number of i-faces if S? The construction in the present note solves the upper bound problem for centrally symmetric simplicial 3-spheres.
