Abstract :
In this note, we construct a 39-dimensional optimal unimodular lattice with minimum norm 4 from a Euclidean-optimal self-dual code of length 39 over Z4. These are the first examples of a 39-dimensional unimodular lattice with minimum norm 4 and a self-dual Z4-code of length 39 with minimum Euclidean weight 16.
