Pfaffian Identities: A Combinatorial Approach

Following Knuth, we approach pfaffians from a combinatorial point of view and produce a number of vector-based identities. Identities of Hirota, Ohta, and Srinivasan are obtained as specializations. We also demonstrate an application to Schur Q-functions.
