Abstract
After recalling recent results on the existence and stability of stationary magnetic structures in the context of anisotropic MHD with an equation of state appropriate for the slow dynamics regime, preliminary simulations of a Landau fluid model including small-scale finite Larmor radius corrections are presented in a regime of mirror instability. Magnetic holes are obtained for a wide range of parameters, while peaks are only transiently observed for large values of β.
