Metapopulations and Chaos: On the Stabilizing Influence of Dispersal

Scheuring & Jلnosi described a metapopulation model which did not exhibit chaotic dynamics. Indeed, contrasting results were observed in similar studies. The general issue behind these works is the occurrence of complex and unpredictable dynamics in biological populations. I would like to comment specifically on Scheuring & Jلnosiʹs paper, and more generally on the issue of chaos in population dynamics
