  • Abstract
    The laminar boundary layer flow of non-Newtonian fluids on a continuous moving porous flat plate with suction or injection is governed by the nonlinear differential equation f ‴ ( η ) + f ( η ) f ″ ( η ) = 0 with boundary conditions f ( 0 ) = - C , f ′ ( 0 ) = ξ , f ′ ( + ∞ ) = 1 , where η is the similarity variable, f ( η ) is related to the stream function of the laminar flow, and C and ξ are parameters. This paper presents a rigorous proof of the existence of a new set of solutions for the boundary value problem for ξ < 0 and any C < 0 .
