Abstract
The paper revisits the control problem for networked systems, where the network links from sensor to controller and from controller to actuator are subject to random packet losses. Different from the previous studies on the issue, a more practical scenario is considered in the setting, namely, the expectation of packet losses represented as a description of Bernoulli-distributed stochastic process is uncertain. By introducing an upper bound for the expectation of the successfully transmitted rate of packets, the controller existence conditions are derived in such a way that the closed-loop system is stochastically stable in the mean square sense and yields a noise attenuation in the H ∞ sense.
