Pfaffʹs method (II): diverse applications

In 1797, Pfaff summed a 3F2 hypergeometric series. His result was ignored until Saalschutz rediscovered it in 1890. This paper is devoted to a detailed account of the wide applicability of Pfaffʹs method.
