Numerical evaluation of Cauchy principal value integrals based on local spline approximation operators

In this paper a local spline approximation method, defined for any function ƒ ϵ L1[−1, 1], is applied to evaluate Cauchy principal value integrals and convergence results with an error bound are established. Some comparisons with other methods and numerical examples are given.
