New hypergeometric identities arising from Gaussʹs second summation theorem

The elementary manipulation of series is applied to obtain a quite general transformation involving hypergeometric functions. A number of hypergeometric identities not previously recorded in the literature are then deduced from Gaussʹs second summation theorem and other hypergeometric summation theorems.
