A generalized Euler-Maclaurin formula on triangles

We prove the existence of an asymptotic expansion of the error for composite integration formulae on triangles. The result is based on simple manipulation of derivatives of a bivariate function with respect to affine maps and on basic properties of the Sobolev spaces.
