On the acceleration of two classes of sequences by the Θ̂-algorithm

The Θ̂-algorithm is a general extrapolation procedure for accelerating the convergence of sequences. Acceleration theorems for two classes of sequences of real numbers are proved. Theoretical results are illustrated by numerical examples.
