Iterative functional equation x(x(t))=f(t) with f(t) piecewise linear

The equation x(x(t))=f(t) is discussed in many papers purely from the theoretical point of view (existence, properties). We consider the properties of the solution and corresponding algorithms for computing the exact solution of such equations in the case of f(t) being a line or polygon.
