On the very-well-poised bilateral basic hypergeometric series

The purpose of this paper is to derive several new transformation formulas between bilateral and unilateral basic hypergeometric series by making use of a method which was first used by Watson and later more systematically employed by Bailey. From this transformation, some new identities involving bilateral basic hypergeometric series are obtained.
