For functions f ∈ L 1 ( R ) ∩ C ( R ) with Fourier transforms f ˆ in L 1 ( R ) we give necessary and sufficient conditions for f to belong to the generalized Lipschitz classes H ω , m and h ω , m in terms of behavior of f ˆ .
