Uniform approximation of functions by Meyer-Kِnig and Zeller operators

We give a characterization of functions which can be uniformly approximated in some weighted spaces by the Meyer-Kِnig and Zeller operators. We also express the rate of convergence in terms of the usual modulus of continuity.
