On the existence of self-dual vortices in the abelian Chern–Simons model with two Higgs fields

We consider the vortex equations in the abelian Chern–Simons model with two Higgs fields, recently introduced by Duan, Zhang and Liu. To be specific, we study the existence of both topological and non-topological vortex solutions of the system of equations in the plane.
