Abstract :
According to the basic theory of interference, we assume that the material resistance and complicated engineering structure stress follow normal distributions. A Practical Reliability Analysis Method for Engineers (PRAME) has been developed in order to avoid directly seeking the function of stress intensity related to structure size and external loads. The stress given any independent random variables of sizes and loads is calculated by Finite Element Methods (FEM). As an example, the reliability of a 200 MWt Nuclear Heating Reactor (NHR-200) core barrel is discussed.
