Star-countable k-networks, and quotient images of locally separable metric spaces

Let X be a space with a star-countable k-network. We give a reflection theorem on X, and a characterization for a k-space X to be the quotient s- (or compact) image of a locally separable metric space. Also, we give a result on the hyperspace K(X) of X.
