Representations at fixed points of smooth actions of cyclic groups

Let G be a cyclic group acting smoothly on a connected closed manifold M with nonempty fixed point set F. Let Θx be the representation of G defined by the induced G linear action on the tangent space Tx(M) at x ϵ F. In this paper, we study the relations between the cohomology of M and the equivalent representations of G at fixed points.
