Abstract
We consider the Einsteinian strengths and dynamical degrees of freedom for quadratic gravity in d ≥ 4 dimensions. We show that the purely metrical quadratic gravitational theories are much stronger in Einsteinʹs sense than the competitive quadratic gravity theories which admit torsion. This fact can be used as some kind of test for quadratic gravity.
