Entanglement, split and nuclearity in quantum field theory

Relative entropy of entanglement and entanglement of formation are defined for infinite algebras, where the standard definitions fail. They are applied to relativistic quantum field theories and it is shown that the split condition is essential to guarantee reasonable behaviour of the entanglement.
