Abstract :
In the present paper, a theoretical model of formation processes of an internal structure of ceramic composite materials manufactured by the method of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis is developed. The problem statement on heat-mass-transfer and technological stresses formation in ceramics in technological combustion is given. The two-dimensional problem on creation of a ceramic plate by the SHS method is numerically solved. In the example of titanium carbid reinforced by carbon fibers, it is shown that the level of technological stresses in ceramics is determined by two factors: extrinsic gas generation and chemical shrinkage accompanying the material synthesis process.
