Heat generation and temperature field of dot matrix print head

Based on detailed investigation of the working conditions and the characteristics of dot matrix print heads, this paper sets up a model representing the thermal properties of the print heads, and develops the methods for the computation of heat generation, heat dissipation, and steady temperature field of the print heads in the stage of design of the print heads. A experiment is carried out to confirm the analysis and calculation.
