Critical analysis and perspectives on kinetic (cellular) theory of immune competition

This paper deals with a critical analysis of the kinetic cellular theory which refers to the modelling of the immune response to the evolution of the progression of endothelial cells which have lost their differentiation and start their evolution towards metastatic states. The first part of the paper deals with the development of a general framework including, as special cases, the various models proposed in the literature and, possibly, various generalizations. The second part deals with the analysis of some specific mathematical models. Finally, the third part deals with the indication of research perspectives.
