Abstract :
A model is developed for the bubbles and fingers of the interface between two fluids of different densities in zero gravitational field. The flows of both fluids are represented by a time-dependent conformal mapping. The dynamics of the mapping is determined by a variational principle. The shape of the interface is similar to the one observed in experiments.
