In triple helix is.an important aspect which represents partnership among government, industry and university in recent years there has been heightened interest and activity in university-industry relationships. Country patent. tax and company laws are supposed to fa cilitate and encourage university-industry collaboration and technology transfer. Moreover, legislative bodies must see such cooperation as a way of enhancing national research and development efforts and of helping to make the slate and the nation more competitive. Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan has established Pakistan Education and Research Network whereas some other University – Industry Technology factlitattng Programs are also available. These instittutions do address facilities under the umbrella of HEC but when research outputs quality to become commercial very limited policy guidelines are available. I have tried to address those mallers ill these guidelille prillciples. These Guideline principles represent to a growing recognition of the importance and complexity of relations between the university and private industry. University-industry collaborations can result ill benefits to both parties, if there is a clear understanding of fundamental university policies and procedures and of the complementary but differing goals of the university and private industry.
