Abstract :
The goal of this study is to evaluate the relationship between the physical activity and the level of progesterone and testosterone of mother during childbirth. The study method for this research is descriptive-temporary. The population of the study were the 9-month pregnant women of Shahrood who registered to Imam Hossein hospital of Shahrood for childbirth in 2013. We chose 76 of the m as the sample. The researcher used the standard PPAQ questionnaire to get the data to determine the level of physical activity and ELISA diagnostic kits to determine the levels of progesterone and testosterone. The validity of all the methods was analyzed by the researchers and experts of the field and the reliability of the questionnaire was obtained 0.81, using Cronbachʹs alpha method. To analyze the data, SPSS ver. 18 software was used and to test the hypothesis of the research, Kolmogorov-Smirnov exam, Pierson and Spearman’s correlation coefficient were used. Findings showed that there weren’t any meaningful relationship between the physical activity of pregnant women and the level of progesterone and testosterone in the childbirth time (p?0.05). Therefore, it can be assumed that childbirth is an independent procedure form the pregnancy and the level of progesterone and testosterone is not influenced by physical activity.
