On multisets of hook lengths of partitions

A partition is not in general uniquely determined up to conjugation by its multiset of hook lengths. In this paper we prove however that a partition α is uniquely determined up to conjugation by the multisets of hook lengths of α and of α ∖ R 1 , 1 α .
