Abstract :
A simple conversion of a perfluoroalkylvinyl ether sulfonyl fluorides, CF2CFOCF2CF(CF3)OCF2CF2SO2F, to the corresponding sulfonate salts without nucleophilic attack on the vinylether function has been developed. The reaction involves KF, water, and acetonitrile resulting in high conversion to the sulfonate salt.
