Abstract
A catalytic trifluoromethylation of aldehydes using trimethylamine N-oxide and trifluoromethyltrimethylsilane (TMSCF3) is described. Aromatic, aliphatic and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes provided good to excellent yields of the corresponding trifluoromethylated products.
