Abstract :
The condensation of 2-anilinoacetophenone with RFCO2Et (RF = CF2H, CF3, C2F5) in the presence of LiH in THF affords the corresponding N-phenyl-2-polyfluoroalkyl-4-quinolones in excellent yields.
