Abstract :
The cell walls from Libyan natural fig fruits is obtained from the fresh weight of the mycelium, the material released by successive extractions with hot water and sodium hydroxide. The alkali extract was fractionated by ion-exchange and gel-filtration chromatography. Analysis of the first fraction showed that d-glucans was the unique component.
