Fluorocarbonyl peroxynitrate (FC(O)OONO2): Temperature dependence of the UV absorption spectrum

The ultraviolet absorption spectrum of gas phase FC(O)OONO2 has been measured over the wavelength range 200–320 nm for temperatures between 298 and 245 K. Absorption cross-sections were found to increase significantly with increasing temperature at wavelengths longer than 250 nm. Implications for the atmospheric chemistry of FC(O)OONO2 are discussed.
