Abstract :
The article presents the results of studies on selected properties of fine-grained mineral aggregates containing various amounts of steel fibres. Sand, a waste product of obtaining mineral aggregates for concrete, was used in the production of a fine-grained composite. A model for the distribution of steel fibres within such a composite (SFRC) was constructed and based on the fundamentals of statistics. It accounts for the settling of steel fibres in a fine aggregate concrete mixture which occurs as a result of the technological conditions under which the composite is produced.
