Abstract
A series of functional bisphosphonates have been synthesized in good isolated yields via new palladium-catalyzed bis-hydrophosphorylation reactions of terminal alkynes and dialkyl phosphites. The scope and mechanism for such a bis-hydrophosphorylation process are also discussed.
