Chiral diazaborolidine-mediated enantioselective aldol reactions of phenylthioacetate esters

Methodology is described for the enantioselective conversion of achiral aldehydes by anti-selective aldol reaction to chiral β-hydroxy-α-phenylthio esters and aldehydes.
