Abstract
The conducted research programme was focused on air voids in fibre reinforced SCC. There were used two types of crimped steel fibres. Properties of fresh mix were checked. The specimens in a form of beams with fibre volumes ranging from 0% to 1.5% have been non-destructively tested using X-ray computed tomography. Total volume of air, its distribution and spacing analysis have been performed. The air voids number and their volume were evaluated along the beam main axis. The amount of air trapped in the upper and lower beam halves has been analyzed. The uniformity of spacing of air voids was assessed and discussed as well as volume distribution.
