Synthesis of multiporphyrinic α-polypeptides: towards the study of the migration of an excited state for the mimicking of the natural light harvesting device

The synthesis of a porphyrin functionalized derivative of the l-lysine is reported. Three peptides, bearing, respectively, two, four and eight chromophores, have been synthesized using the new porphyrin functionalized amino-acid.
