Abstract :
The solid-phase synthesis of DNA-interactive pyrrolo[2,1-c][1,4]benzodiazepines (PBDs) on p-nitrophenyl carbonate Wang resin using a variety of oxidation/cyclisation procedures is reported. Final products can be released from the support in yields of up to 68% using TFA:CH2Cl2 (1:1).
